I'm starting to wonder what I did wrong? Within a week I'll have hit 3 of 4 terminals. Got a run to Atlanta out of Massillon. Actually this time around I'm gonna try to avoid going to the Conley Detention Faclity unless I have to get a preloaded trailer out of there, since I get to deliver to the wonderful Americold, so I'll be close to the petro and probably have to do a 34.
Jeffersonville OH tonight.

Hey 1 bad. Picking up my load thats taking me home tomorrow in Leesburg, FL. Will be coming thru Atlanta tomorrow sometime. Maybe things can be worked out to do a 10 there and finally get the chance to meet you.
-
Maybe I will get the chance to one day as well.
JJ is the only one from the Central thread I have run into. And that was quick, since we had both just gotten fuel.
Hey JJ, how is that Prostar? Ride better than your truck did? I know it will turn better, those things are great backing. -
Well having a 34 in Houston. Load of plastic pellets...no reefer required. Customer not open on weekends. Found out we have no drop yard in Houston...so here I am. Time to make lemonade. My sister-in-law and new hubbie live here. Made a phone call and shazam! Home cooked food, cold beer and a real bed! Life is Good.

So far he thinks the Prostar is OK, not as much room as the Pete but not bad, better then the alternative (9400) he really hasn't had time to post he has been driving 11 and stopping for 10 to get his load to Knoxville TN.
He made it to his app and today is deadheading to GA to pick up his next load, 2 stop first in Louisville KY and last in Houston TX.
First load picked up in Parma ID on Wednesday afternoon and the 99 was on Saturday morning in Knoxville TN 2200 Miles
Next load a lil over 1000 including deadhead so 3300 miles for his first week with the new company
Yea the pay isn't the greatest but the Bonuses make up for the CPM's.
He can route himself, pick his fuel stops from a list they send on the QC, and decide how many gallons he needs. -
Central Ref. may have a bad report with the new CSA2010 RULES. With these new rules drivers now have the right not to work for a company that is getting a lot of accidents, every accident the company gets, is now a reflection on all drivers that work for that company. Especially L/O can now use this to go elsewhere. I hear there are companies offering to buy other leases of safe drivers...Central's increase in accidents must have something to do with drivers being pushed, and lack of training, and lack of education. I know from having to help others out here this to be true, I will testify.

*Central Refrigerated Service completes Simon purchase*
May 1, 2002 12:00 PM
On April 22, 2002, newly formed Central Refrigerated Service, a subsidiary of Central Freight Lines of Waco TX, closed its acquisition of the assets of Simon Transportation Services. The acquisition covers assets for $50 million as well as leased equipment valued at roughly $100 million.
Principal stockholder in Central Freight is Jerry Moyes, president and chief executive officer of Swift Transportation, Phoenix AZ. Central Refrigerated is managed by its president and chief executive officer, Jon Isaacson, formerly CEO of Dick Simon Trucking. The new company will operate roughly 1,500 tractors and 2,200 refrigerated trailers, a reduction from 2,300 tractors and 3,200 trailers operated by Dick Simon Trucking. Isaacson says the company has drivers for its entire tractor fleet and has raised its equipment utilization level to 10,000 miles per month, the level at which Simon Trucking last was profitable.
Central Refrigerated will continue to operate from the existing Simon facilities in Salt Lake City UT and is expected to generate revenue approximating $200 million annually.
