Just get BP medication. They are cheap. Maybe $10/mo. Take them. If you tell DOT you are on BP meds you will get a 1 year card. Having a 1 year card is no big deal. There MIGHT be 5 companies in the US that require a 2 year card.
If you forget to tell DOT you are on BP meds & the meds keep your BP under control you can get a 2 year card. If you plan on forgetting to disclose the meds don't use company insurance to pay for them. Pay for visit to doctor out of your pocket, $150 & buy meds for cash. I understand Lisinopril & Chlorthalidone are super safe & commonly used. Both are generic. Walmart sells them on their list of generics cheap.Opus and hope not dumb twucker Thank this. -
You can easily work a full career with a 1 year card. 90 day card just gives you time to see a doctor & get BP under control.

You are supposed to be given minimum of 5 minutes of uninterrupted rest prior to measuring BP. Look on YouTube. There are breathing exercises you can do to drop your BP 20 points in a few minutes.
Some drivers claim the have White Coat Syndrome, meaning they get nervous around doctors, which temporarily raise BP to high levels. Insist on 5 minutes of no talking & calm resting before the measurement. They don't need to know about the breathing exercises. Don't do them around witnessesJuanster530 and Chinatown Thank this. -
I fail the BP test every time I take the physical.
The nurse has me lay down with the light out for 20 minutes, then checks it again.
Sometimes the nurse has me do that twice before I pass. Then I get a 2 yr. card.
