I'm sure this topic has been beat to hell, but I can't find any information on it that's worth anything. What I want to know is what CPL numbers were used on the 525hp N14s? I have a CPL 2391 and it's set at 525/1850 now, originally 435 and I assume 1450 because that's what the original tranny is rated for. As far as I can tell from quickserve the 2391 and the 2592 are identical, but I can't find anything as far as what they were used for. Mainly just trying to figure out with my combination of parts if I'm getting a true 525/1850 out of it or not. I know 2025 was a 525, but other than that I'm lost. Thanks in advance for any help

    2025 and 2592 were 525hp. 2391 had different injectors I believe.
    Go to Genuine Cummins Parts
Plug in your esns in two different browser tabs and compare parts one by one

I have quickserve and that shows 2592 and 2391 being identical, injectors included

Weird, I remember when I was looking for a replacement for my 2592, there was something different about 2391, but don't remember what it was exactly

I looked last night, 2391 and 2592 share everything, down to the cam and injectors (3411767), 2025 is the same as those two other than cam and injectors (3411763), so if the 2592 and 2025 were both 525 I assume the 2391 can put it out no problem. 2025 must just be newer why it has different parts huh?

2025 is actually the old one, they stopped making it after 2000 I believe

In that case, would my 2391 be a true 525 then if the 2592 was used as a factory 525 since they have all the same parts? Mine is a 1998 by the way

If all parts check out I don't see why not. You can give your serial to a local Cummins dealer and see if they got a 525hp file for it.
What's your serial btw? I am curious to look at it
