True, and if the conditions were always in support of getting back over in that fashion, that would be fine. But me personally, I dont like to get that close, nor have any other truck get back over that soon and for being the "proud" owner of this saftey camera thing that my company forces me to have, it goes bezerk when someone gets back over that soon.

OK, whatever you say. But do me a favor. if theres something you dont like, dont get mad at me for not knowing what you like and what you dislike because not everybody shares the same opinion as you. Even if one other person came in here in favored what you said, that would be one other person. Or if two or three or even 5 other people came in here agreeing with you, thats just 5 other people that agree with you. Point is, everything anyone does is gonna at one point not be agreed by the next person so instead of trying to convince me to allow you to call me rude for something i think is totally opposite, find a way to deal with it because once again, not everybody agrees with you and if it was as unsafe and rude as you say it is, dont you think many more people would be in the same agreeance with you??

Read this thread. Most of the replies agree with me. The law agrees with me. Somehow you think that being rude is acceptable. I can't change that. If you like being rude then continue what you are doing but don't get upset when people don't appreciate your rudeness.

Hate to burst your bubble but the majority of people who you "think" were in agreeance with you were mainly referring to using the brights at night to signal someone back over.... Some never specified which but only a very small handfull actually specified that they dont like other drivers using their highbeams during the day. So as I said, thats just you and a few other drivers. But as I said, If you dont like it, dont stare directly into the headlights.

So because you and a few others think it is ok to flash high beams in other people's eyes it somehow becomes acceptable? Some jerks park on fuel islands while they do whatever they are going to do in the truckstop. Sometimes for hours. Is this ok too? Some think so, does that make it ok?
The fact that some people do rude things doesn't change the fact that it is rude. The fact that some break the law doesn't change the law.
If you wish to continue being rude nobody can help you. It doesn't change the fact that you are being rude.

LOL, sorry, I just cant fathom how someone could be blinded by very brief highbeams during the day, especially on a clear sunny day. Lemmie guess, do you cuss the sun if it blinds you late in the day or early in the morning as the sun is comin up or goin down??
If this is what you want to turn this debate into, OK, I'm game.

It depends. Are you referring to night or during the day?? If its during the day, I say hell no because because 99% of the time, there are more than plenty of easy places to park. Besides, during the day, truckstops are at their busiest because more trucks are on the road needin fuel. At night, there are less drivers on the road because most of them are parked thus explaining why the fuel islands are less busy. Im not gonna say its ok to sit in the fuel island for a while, but sometimes, you have no choice because theres no where to park.
Thats your opinion. If you wanna call me rude, then go right ahead. I dont see it as rude. But I can tell this is gonna turn into a tennis match..... Back and forth, back and forth.........and so on........

It might be hard to tell day from night, --- standin' on a soap box with one's head in the clouds --- makin' proclamations to the masses.

The fact is, no fact has been established, and certainly not proven.
What you have is an opinion.
    That's a fact.
If you wish to be belligerent, we can't stop you, but don't think that your personal opinion is a fact. It is not a fact until it's been proven.
    And it has not.

Understanding doesn't seem to be anything you're willin' to consider either.
During daylight hours, I have found high beams flashed in my mirrors to be helpful. I did not consider the drivers who did so to be "rude".
I even thanked them for their friendly gesture.
    That's a fact.
    It's twue!
    It's twue!

Facts are facts, except when they're not.
You wanting to present your opinion(s) as facts, doesn't make you, or your opinion(s) right.
    Can you accept that?
You keep harping about your opinion.
To you, it's rude when high beams are flashed.
To me, it's rude to present opinion(s) as facts, and get all bent out of shape when not everybody agrees and/or shares your opinion(s).
.If you like to be obstinate, continue to do so.
    Who could stop you?
Don't think you are being helpful though.
You are part of the problem, not the solution.

No, it's you who isn't gettin' it.
Words have meaning, and the word "fact" is no different.
You are, in fact, not presenting facts, --- just your opinion(s).
Facts ARE facts, in fact, and that's a fact, not only an opinion.

It's possible for "most" to be incorrect, or mistaken.
    And that's a fact.
For the record, I don't agree with your opinion that you present as
something other than what it is.
Would that be the same "law" that informs us that ALL accidents ARE preventable?
You sure are hung up on rude.
Do you even realize that what you've been doing in the name of "facts" is rude and inconsiderate?
    It is.
Do you like being rude and narrow minded?
If so, you'll probably consider it to be rude for anyone to point out your own rudeness, combined with a few other character flaws, and you'll continue ridin' on a high horse informing others who don't agree with your opinion(s) that they are what you are, ......... rude and stubborn.
Take your own advice, ....... don't get upset when people don't appreciate your obstinate belligerence.
    Live and let live.
    It's all good.
