I’m looking at a heavy spec 2010 T800 on auction that has an IXS 600. Spent its life pulling doubles at 150-160k, has 550k on it. I would use it to do the same.
I know nothing about these motors, what’s that mileage like on one? Do they have major issues?
Current ride is a 2006 T800 with an MXS Cat single turbo set at about 625, I’d like any other truck I get to be able to fill its place. My other trucks that I currently have aren’t fit for hauling that heavy.

Being a 2010 I believe it could be either a cm871 (dual overhead cams no def) or possibly a cm2250 (single overhead cam with def). Never owned an 871. If it's a 2250 based on my experience I would advise against even standing too close to it.
Diesel Dan 92, little cat 500 and Crude Truckin' Thank this. -
Isx 600 was not good to begin with when it started production in 1999 I believe. Many trucks needed an overhaul at 500k miles. 2008-2011 were also considered the worst years for engines since DPF got introduced then .
2004-2007 ISX 400-530 were great though, I have seen many with 1.5 mil miles with only main bearings changedCrude Truckin' Thanks this. -
Based on the 2350 ISX i had i wouldn't take one if it were given to me money pits
