    Hello,
I have a Kenworth 2018, and I have never had any issues with regen since I purchased it in May 2024. Last week, my driver called me and said the truck was going through a second regen right after completing the first one just an hour earlier. He pulled into a truck stop, shut off the engine, and went to the truck stop shop. When he returned 15-20 minutes later, he started the truck, but a STOP ENGINE sign appeared on the dash. The coolant is full, and we also changed the water fuel separator because it was slightly overfilled.
Does this happened to anyone an dhow did you fix this issue, I need to remove this engine shut down sign to do regen. The closest dealer is 140 miles away, my driver stuck there for 7 days now. Dealers has no spot to check in. Any advise helps!

No mobile mechanics in that area that could come and plug the truck in for diagnosis/clear codes? Sitting for 7 days already at the truckstop, time to figure plan B,C, and D out..........Quickly

We stopped by 2 shops there and they said their software is limited and does not work on Paccar engines. We were about to tow 100 miles, but dealers booked in advance and didn't have space for a trailer.

Is it a good idea to shut down in the middle of a regen? I was always told that's not a good idea.

Regeneration was not active when the truck was pulled over. However, the driver didn’t pay attention to the warning signs, shut off the engine, restarted the truck, and then attempted to initiate regeneration. After this, the engine shutdown warning appeared

I've heard sometimes disconnecting battery cables for a few minutes or even hours will clear check engine codes until the engine diagnostics pick them up again.

That may give enough time for a regen to start and / or able to drive to a mechanic.

I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to shut the engine down during a regen though.
