I usually get load information prior to delivering or on my way from delivering a load. Longest I sat was 2 days and that was fun. Nothing better than sitting around in an empty lot practicing my backing skills.

I prefer Flying J or TA for my 34s. For a 10-hr, I really don't care. Other than clean bathrooms for in the morning, it doesn't matter. I usually shower mid-day. Less waiting usually for a shower. And I detail my own truck. Might not be the prettiest on the outside, but I keep the inside nice and cozy.

Never did understand the 34 hr restart at a truckstop thing. cant stand it. If im on the road im supposed to be driving and making money or sleeping. 34 hr restarts are for when im home...

Sometimes the loads and the way your hours work out make it impossible to make it home for a 34. I've gotten stuck on the west coast doing a 34 cause the way the load work hour wise.

Start an aluminum polishing service somewhere close to a fuel, cement or flour hauling company. But, it is going to have to be a decent price in this economy.

What is a truckstop? They are called "Travel Centers" Now days and not all are trucker friendly.
