ESTES Express (5 Year Review)

Honestly, I can't say what extra board is like anymore. When I did it, it was regional driving. I got a buddy hired and he never hit the road. He was basically covering schedules the entire 6 months until he got a bid. That kind of threw me off because if I went back to the board I'd demand that I be sent out

I hear different things from different terminals so I guess it's dependent upon your driver manager. When I did it, you'd go out for 5 days and be back for a 34. You could run the road as much as you wanted to. I've stayed out a month before pretty much partying wherever I was at. I had a blast.

Extra board was a money printer. I always told myself if I ever needed money bad enough, I'm going back on the extra board!

 

Well boys,

I worked Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and I'm sitting at the meet point right now. I'm gonna call central and see if they'll let me run through. Before you guys bomb me, I worked at like 1am to like 10 or 11 both days before. Tried to finesse em this morning, but looks like I'm gonna be forced to wait.

 

Well... Luck must be in my favor. Central told me to scrap it and go straight through. That was our whole plan anyways. He's getting 2 extra days and I'm getting my 6 days + holidays. I'm happy about that!

 

Headed back to the house now. Left the original terminal, made a stop to one on the way, now all I have to do is drive on home! I slept good and ate good too so I'm well prepared.

Only downside is I left my trucker cup. I have to stop and get another one!

 

I got off work and my car battery was dead. Lucky me
