If cars, motorcycles AND trucks can't get through why isn't the road blocked?

Construction needs to get through? Put flaggers just after the turn off. I'm betting the troopers and DOT have more exciting stuff to do.

If i understand what he was saying correctly there is an exit past where they are stopping trucks and non local traffic that is being left open for local traffic that trucks cant get past. Or at least its what is implied with his comment about people not being able to get to chruch and such. I could be wrong but that would make sense.

To a point it is. But they are also there to police unsafe rigs and drivers off the road and to set up safe routes and such. They havent been doing that and a LOT of rigs and drivers that are blanently unsafe are being left on the road. This is them doing more then just the minimum.

 

My nephew is one of those THP he's been doing inspections there for the last 2 weeks.

 

Boy....I love how quickly Ike, and others on here get hung up on the foreigners. There are American born drivers who don't pay attention, or are just plain defiant as well. It seems that vehicles of all types aren't very smart but truckers definitely should know better.

 

My nephew says it's more dumbassery than it is foreigners.
