In almost 31 years of long haul the only issues I ever had were Memphis and East Saint Louis. I swear I've slept in every major city in the US. Good point on the padlock.

Heavy duty padlocks are harder to defeat than the hinge or the rivets on the rest of the trailer door latching mechanism. US used to be a high-trust society and we are seeing glimpses of what a low-trust society will look like. It will look like Memphis, St Louis, Oakland, Miami, everywhere except for some highly protected bubbles of civilization.

True crime junkie here.
I'll give you 10:1 that there were multiple perps who have multiple priors and/or warrants for property crimes and petty crimes.Iamoverit, Feedman, pete781693 and 6 others Thank this. -

We need more details on this tragic delivery narrative.
Were you weary and decided to spend the night on Crump Street or one of those notorious truck stops on US 72?
Did you leave your rig unattended to go party on Beale Street?
Enquiring minds want to kmow.Last edited: Nov 17, 2024

When you hear of a mass shooter, everyone says, “Betty White.” When they say that, can I count on you to speak up and play devil’s advocate?
I know what you’re saying, hand and I understand why you feel the way you do. I feel the exact same way about the entire trucking industry. When I started, I was proud. Now, I am ashamed to tell anyone because everyone not in the industry has smelled some fat, gross, nasty subhuman that was driving a truck. And they think that we are all like that. Should I argue that we all aren’t fast, smelly and gross, or do I stay silent? Yes, I know the majority are not gross examples of subhumans, but that’s still a losing argument.
Do I tell them that we all aren’t like that or do I show them that I am not like that?Iamoverit, Feedman, pete781693 and 10 others Thank this. -
I gotta load at ADM in the morning on Chelsea Ave I’ll get over there bout 4 or so. I’ve never had trouble there but they have armed security in 2 separate areas of the lot. Couple of them bigger ladies I wouldn’t mess with if you paid me a million and had the bambalance on high pressure stand by
