I think it's equally important to call out everybody who glorifies criminal behavior. We can't just say Biker Boyz are bad for running from the cops while watching Dukes of Hazzard. How Boyz N the hood is bad for all of its violence while binge watching Yellowstone. John Wick is also bad, we shouldn't be glorifying contract killers, even if his dog got killed. This is a big reason why I don't really put much faith in anybody claiming to be for "we the people", when they clearly ignore other demographics. If Oath Keepers want to show up to Jan 6 to support criminal violence, then why are they perching on rooftops with rifles instead of marching with "we the people" in other cities? There is a lot more in common between these groups than they like to admit. Tupac can say "only God can judge me" to justify his life and it's not much different than Ammon Bundy using his faith to justify picking up arms and terrorizing people. Can the 10% of people who commit 90% of the crime or whatever statistic is being made up just claim it's a witch hunt and people will accept it?

OP could've omitted the whole spiel about not wanting to make this about race if they really didn't want to convey that message. It sucks that you don't feel safe parking in Memphis, but there's also a whole group of people afraid to even walk down the sidewalk in rural Alabama.

Then why not just simply show the picture and state that your trailer got broken into if everybody knows who did it? Everyone could offer you thoughts and prayers and we could go on with life.

 

No, they're especially good when they're about me. If you can't laugh at yourself, life is a sad and dreary experience.

 

One weekend, while at Ft Devens with the Army, I wandered down to Worchester. In a bar, restaurant, meeting hall establishment, I imbibed and journeyed to the restrooms. As I was relieving myself at a urinal, the door opened behind me and footsteps sounded, then alongside appeared a man spouting some gibberish (to me). I finished,zipped, and backed. He twisted to look at me and spouted off again. I spoke directly to him that he was drunk and I had no time.

He smiled, and in good English said: "Oh, you are not Polish."

So I inquired as to why he thought that and said it was my brown hair. (It was for years) One question led to another and I wound up upstairs in a hall rented by his extended family for some Polish celebration. Say what you will, they may be dumb in/on some subjects, but they know how to party. Stayed over with a family member and visited back a few weeks later. There are good folks everywhere.....

 

You're forgetting that the reason the Duke boys were always running from the cops was because the cops and Boss Hogg were corrupt. Speeding was the only illegal thing the Dukes ever did, and that was usually because they were trying to expose or stop someone else's unethical if not illegal behavior - behavior which often had Hogg's approval.

Got to also equate into this scenario the mind set of today’s young women. Young men are often influenced by what they see young women going for….How you say? They usually outgrow this phase, but today’s young women are into “bad boys” on a different level. I watched a short documentary on this via a YouTube clip a while ago. They were interviewing a group of young women. They asked them who would be more fun to date or have as a boyfriend. A drug dealer or a guy going to school who had his stuff together. All of them young women said a drug dealer would be more fun. So you’re some young dude, still in a point of life where you’re easily influenced, and you see who all the young attractive, hot women are flocking to. Who they and trying to date. I want to tell these young guys don’t give into that, stay the course because they’ll all be running to you at decade later. But that isn’t going to work when you’re 22. lol
I am thankful I’m not having to be out there dating in today’s world. It’s Abysmal at best.
