9 axle RGN weight Questions

He's got 3 a day to do. What you expect him to do put more than 4 chains on it?

 

I don't how North Dakota permits work, but in Idaho the annual will cost like $128 per configuration (9, 12, 7, etc.), and then we pay a per mile rate on the weight. It is often a lot less expensive to run more axles here as far as the per mile rate goes.

 

dump your bags, lower the trailer to the ground, put the right size block between the truck frame rails and the neck, air up and drive away. Like a mechanical neck.

 

Do you suppose with that much overhang that he'll be able to get enough lift considering the play in the fifth wheel and mounting pins? It would be worth a try!

 

Really depends on how bagged out the neck pins are. Maybe he could slide the fifth wheel all the way up and get the front of the main neck over the tail of his frame? Then he could at least put the blocks under the actual neck and maybe it wouldn't sag as much.

 

He might be able to block under the front of the deck some to allow a bigger block between the neck and frame, and still be able to roll that lift off easy enough.

 

Doesn't really matter. The suspension only has so much travel. Would be more useful to have an over inflate valve setup to lift the neck higher compared to the deck.

 

True, but if the eyes start off 6 inches higher there is that much more for slack without dragging the ground.
