Not a place I'd ever want to mess with unless I had a darn good reason.
The whole "super expensive to live there" part somewhat baffles me also. If you told me the cost of living was insane in Hawaii or even Seattle or Vancouver BC I'd say yeah that makes sense...people actually want to live in those places (as idiotic as that sounds, but I digress). But who actually wants to pay Seattle or Vancouver BC COL to live in Anchorage? Hard pass on that. If it was cheap that would be different. Everybody loves a bargain.NightWind Thanks this. -
Wait, a "lone-wolf SIGMA gangster"? Why a SIGMA gangster? Sigma is the 18th letter in the Greek alphabet, used in mathematics to mean a "sum". How would that apply to being a gangster? That's just plain DUMB!
Methinks said millennial meant "Alpha" (the FIRST letter of the Greek alphabet), but is too ignorant to know the difference....ElmerFudpucker, rbrtwbstr and Feedman Thank this. -

Maybe the younger generation now uses a different term, to be not like “old” people and all that...OldeSkool, broke down plumber and NightWind Thank this.

@Ex-Trucker Alex
Here's the new definition for "old people" like me
A "sigma gangster" refers to a person who is considered a "lone wolf" or independent figure in the social hierarchy, often seen as someone who operates outside of traditional power structures, similar to the concept of a "sigma male or female," while still exhibiting characteristics associated with a "gangster" like confidence and a mysterious aura; essentially, someone who is powerful and self-sufficient without actively seeking to be part of a dominant group.
- Origin from Greek letter "Sigma":
The term "sigma" is derived from the Greek alphabet and is used in online subcultures to describe someone who operates outside of the established social order.

Shouldn't they be Omega gangsters then? You know, Alpha- the beginning, and Omega- the end? Or am I overthinking this?
