My existing building is 40x40 with 12 ft side sheds. The side sheds were put on grade but never concrete. Immaculate smooth floor. The door would face the same way as mine with the 20 ft I’m short being at the door. I can’t off set it the other way due to the county road right of way.
I’m not near smart enough to pull something like that off, I’m sure those who put up such buildings like new #### lol. I really hadn’t given any thought to using my existing slab as I figured it wouldn’t work. My original thought was to put it straight out behind the house with the door facing the house. The possibility of using my current slab or at least the majority of it has me thinking more so about it. -
How much is the concrete a yard. I just paid @207 a yard for concrete. They are ripping us off. A load of 57’s (18 tons) is over $800 now.austinmike, cke, broke down plumber and 5 others Thank this.

I'm not a concrete guy at all, but I think some work with a hammer drill and rebar pieces you could add on to the existing slab if needed. Pulling this out of my ###, but the cost of concrete placed is maybe double the cost of the mud. Drilling into existing for the new red iron is doable, so then it comes down to the cost of taking down the old versus buying new.cke, IH9300SBA, broke down plumber and 5 others Thank this.

Right around 200 I believe it was. Last I checked at the quarry #57 was like $52 a ton. So about $900 for 18 ton. Of course that was my price. I’m sure lots of people get a discount.austinmike, cke, IH9300SBA and 8 others Thank this.

@wore out I have learned that it is cheaper to build a new one than to disassemble, move and reassemble a used one. So many issues to deal with grades, floors electrical plumbing etc.austinmike, cke, Dale thompson and 7 others Thank this.

I don’t see how. A red iron building that size is easily 75 grand. Just for the building. And well all the other will cost the same.
sawmill, austinmike, cke and 8 others Thank this. -
LABOR costaustinmike, cke, Dale thompson and 7 others Thank this.
-
That’s true enough. If you are paying a crew. I assumed Russ was taking it down himself, but if not labor is probably double.sawmill, austinmike, cke and 7 others Thank this.
