We're allowed 3" per side for safety and securement devices.
There's slack there, that's effectively 2 chains, either binder could be loose without effecting the other.
Not defending him, that load's ugly as sin. I'm assuming the doubled dunnage must be for turn room over the chain trays?Last edited: Dec 14, 2024

He should still pad the chain and pine landscape timbers are soft as marshmallowsMACK E-6, OldMainiac, cke and 10 others Thank this.

My first thought was one big bump and that soft timber was going to be in pieces.cke, broke down plumber, Kyle G. and 7 others Thank this.

It’s sloppy, but legal. My question is, where there 6 binders on that load or 7+. Those look like 55-60’s. Betting on 6Feedman, cke, broke down plumber and 5 others Thank this.

Take less time to just throw straps and edges, and be more secure.. why take the time to use chains if you just gonna make a mess of it ?

in my humble opinion that load looks like a whole lot of extra work for nothing.cke, LTL Bull, broke down plumber and 4 others Thank this. -
Be surprised how quick some can throw 6-7 chains & snap binders.cke, broke down plumber, Nostalgic and 4 others Thank this.
-
Why snap binders though? I've always hated those things. I always use ratcheting binders. And especially on them big beams. And where are the D rings?cke, broke down plumber and CAXPT Thank this.

Sorry the image is reversed. Don't know why.OldMainiac, Feedman, cke and 7 others Thank this.
