Sounds about right, the rolling stops are going to drive you nuts, esp on right turns on red, with literally no one coming. Also the looking out the window or checking the mirrors for too long, the #### thing basically never stops going off.

 

So really they are just telling you not to break any laws including distracted driving .

 

Taking a drink is not breaking the law. So i guess you never go 1 km over the speed limit? I drive in the real world.

 

You are right it's not illegal but you can still be charged with distracted driving if a collision is the result of eating,drinking etc .

 

Years ago they wanted us to sign a document stating that thinking about your family or our time off while driving was distracted driving. Nobody did.

 

Wow! and I thought Bison was out of their mind LOL (I can only imagine its now). The most off the wall thing I was ever told to sign, was you're not allowed to discuss/think about your pay/miles or settlement while in the truck LOL.

 

This whole industry is gone. I'm glad I'm able to get out in a few years.

Ya man, just total looney toons. Also, why the hell is discussing miles and settlements with your fleet manager, while in the truck an issue? afraid someone is going to ram the truck into the terminal? Just a bad joke.

 

Yea man, it completely dead, unfixable, over and done with, Canada the US and Mexico. I'm glad i'm in a dump truck, and construction is so red hot, they wouldn't dare try any of this crap. But once it slows down, and safety has time on their hands, i'm sure all the same BS will come down the pipeline, they've always got to be "doing something" to "improve safety" to justify their existence.
