Any list of Canadian companies hiring and training for AZ?

You won't get paid at Grace or Charger, and they will wreck you license/life.

Challenger and Bison are about the only decent ones left to "start with" Bison will be rough tho, as they're slip seating more than ever.

 

I think he’s talking about Grace Transport Inc out of Strathroy, Ontario. Not Grace Road Lines out of Calgary.

 

The black truck and trailers with Grace on the trailers in white ?. They have some nice equipment kw and had pete 389’s not sure on pay or how they are to work for though . Either way you have to start somewhere and get your foot into the door. I hate to say it but in the times we’re living in right now and it might be even worse next year you can’t be to picky. Obviously you don’t want to screw up your license or driving record, but you will have to start on the bottom and then as you gain experience move up from there . Like i’ve said ive applied to atleast 5-7 jobs the last couple of months and even with 16 years of experience no one is calling me back

 

Trucking is in a real siump right now and wll stay this way until all the rate cutting bottom feeder companys are weeded out. Freight levels haven't really dropped but there are just too many companies/trucks willing to haul cheap freight.Even the large companies like Fastfrate/Challenger are getting rid of trucks and drivers.They got rid of 200 trucks and let drivers go.

Speaking of Fast Freight, in Calgary they went 100% third party power, or $35/hr lol. You should see some of this scrap metal pulling their junk trailers. Their yard and dock and overall terminal are such a run down dump lol. They even got rid of their minimum wage gate guard, and now you have to talk to a camera, that goes to a call center in Ukraine lol. Just a disaster.

 

Fast freight in woodbridge equipment is junk too , mostly old Bruce R smith trucks pulling junk trailers and their teamsters . i’ve thought about applying but between the old equipment and low hourly wage . No thanks, we outsourced our dispatch after midnight to siberia but i like it they can’t force us to do anything any have no clue what hrs we have left or where we are
