I’m sure I don’t need to tell you this based on the positive attitude you have, but do not let this detour you. I asked the question because he probably has no business “training”, trucking has changed a lot over the years, I’ve been at it 21 years, not quite old school, but around enough to see the major changes. These guys who claim to be trainers at the megas tend to be guys with under 100K miles, that shouldnt qualify you to tell another man how to do the job properly, a few helpful pointers maybe, not much more than that though.
I tried training with the company I’m at, I’m not cut out for it, the problem tended to be me. I’m super strict in the way I do things and that usually doesn’t go over too well with people I’ve never met. Stay positive, find someone who takes pride in being a truck driver, not just another butt in the seat glued to his phone and his personal problems all day, sucks that’s the way things started for you, it’ll get better though.
