I completed 3 months @western Express. Learned a few things on my own in this timeframe. Thinking about changing the company but don't know which one to go now. I'm 26 years old, living in Jersey City.
Need some suggestions

What is with you new drivers?
This is not the market to jump ship to find something else.
It is hard for a good driver, let alone a new driver to find a good company.Crude Truckin', nextgentrucker, tscottme and 2 others Thank this. -

Let me add to that by saying that at three months experience, you may have learned a few things, but you are not as far along as you think you are.
Everyone knows that WE is a dog poop company to drive for. However, it is a good company to learn and make your mistakes at. Trust me, you'll be making plenty of mistakes.
As Ridgeline pointed out, it's not a good time to look for another driving job. That's just how it is right now with the economy, and it is affecting everyone.
You should try to stick it out for a year to hone your skills.
Here is something to look forward to: once you master maneuvering and backing, you'll be among the best drivers since NY, NJ, and eastern Pennsylvania are the most challenging places to drive.JolliRoger, The_vett, lual and 2 others Thank this. -

It isn't the new drivers you guys should be criticizing. It's the companies that have shifted to bring drivers with 3 to 6 months experience. Now newer drivers no longer have to be patient. If they have options to move around, they will. Staying at a company a year before moving on, is slowly becoming an outdated way of thinking. I still subscribe to the one year thing, only because I don't feel new drivers always have great optiona starting out. Most of the time, new drivers just make lateral moves.
