You read that wrong... McLane had certain receiving times. They first load/unload their own trucks in their docks first and when their done they unload carriers. McLanes never take early unless you have something they desperately need in your load. McLane was one of my exceptions that I can talk into taking early...
I love Americold shuttles could do without the caves though but they take you once you check in or shortly after. Kraft shuttles are mostly drop and hook. Walmart will take early depending on how busy they are that day.
Presets just came in..203 mile about 100 miles away going to arlington TX, then a 1400 mile from Ft Worth to chatsworth, ca.Last edited: Apr 22, 2010

Do a lot of you Central drivers get trained in how its deathly important to pass a 63 mph truck with a 64 mph truck at everone else's expense and frustration? It would appear so.

yeah tell me about it... no truckstops or truck washes in new england states including NY. there is a petro that might have a truck wash on the turnpike around exit 142

Only reason I didn't elaborate is that I didn't want to bore everybody, but here is my story:
Came to Dick Simon Trucking completely blind. Didn't know about this thread or know any drivers. I guess I was lucky becuause it was a great experience for me.
Central bought us and you guys adopted me and put new logos on my truck (I was a company driver). Just rolled along fine and then they retired my truck with 600,000 miles on it.
It was about that time I was thinking about coming off the road anyway, so I bought my truck from Central and I use it for farming and hauling hay.
I had the old fashioned relationship with my Dispatcher-- I always called him my travel agent because he was the one who told me where I was going. I still try to look him up on occasion.
They gave me a good, solid job when I needed it, and I returned the favor by doing the best I could. Seemed like a square deal to me. No regrets.JustSonny and biermann58 Thank this. -
