I wish the new administration would address the foreign owned and run companies. And, hold foreign drivers to the standards we all have. If they get a serious violation, deport then.

I don't know why I keep seeing these bad reviews for aki they are good tho. I was making better money than anywhere else on this ####ty market. I quit because I had to go to surgery but I will definitely be back. Will update you I see that they have new lanes now

Hey they did the same to me they owe me 2 checks and they block my number is a shaddy company. I hurt my hand when i was hauling for them. They said if i didnt restack the pepsi bottles they werent going to pay me and they wont answer my calls i put a complaint to the department of labor and waiting for an organization in Chicago that helps people that they dont pay workers. Ill love to join the lawsuit. Please reply back we could exchange info

It will if you have a lawyer or know at all what to do when you file a lawsuit, serve the defendant and the defendant does not respond to the lawsuit. You could get a default judgment. Will they pay? Not likely based on the default judgment alone. So, then it turns into trying to collect on your judgment. Bear in mind also, that you will have to prove your case (prove your damages, etc.) before the judge hearing the case. It won't be as simple as claiming they owe you X amount of dollars and the judge just saying okay, well they didn't show, so you win.

Something like this or something similar can happen to anyone in this industry and all the drivers will experience this sometimes because they don't look at the contracts, but I think there’s more to the story here. Maybe it was an accident or a driver’s mistake, but I don’t believe they held onto the check without a reason. After all, the freight was damaged, and it’s very likely the trailer was too. Maybe the truck was abandoned, or the load wasn’t delivered. Remember, you have to be fair to others if you want others to be fair to you don’t forget that.
