I actually think it could be the opposite. A cop might see a rig like that and see that he or she takes great pride in their truck and assumes that they also take care of their equipment mechanically, and would run legally as well. I'd pull over a rig that had parts and pieces hanging off of it...not necessarily a dirty truck....before I would that truck. I'd pull him over just to get a closer look![]()

I understand what your saying but it's been my experience that the dirtier the truck I park beside, the more likely they seem to be to have bald tires, oil leaks, missing exhaust ect... Don't get me wrong there are shiny turds running around but if a guy can't afford a truck wash, chances are he lets things like brakes go a little longer also. And if I notice it, you know the DOT does also.ironhand, outerspacehillbilly and RAILSPLITTER Thank this.

Sounds to me like someone is jealous
RAILSPLITTER Thanks this. -
Looks like he worked hard to get that truck and fix it up the way he did. I like seeing that.
The flashy truck that irritates me is the one driven by the 22-year-old whose daddy bought it for him and sent him through trucking school to get him out of the house. Something he didn't work for and has no actual sweat equity in.RAILSPLITTER and Stacked Passion Thank this. -
Very well said, to all those I thanked!!! I wonder if there's an extra room for rent in that big ol' Petercar?!? (lol) I love seeing trucks like this on the road, and you know that driver takes more pride in his ride than the average hand nowadays. Whoever mentioned dirty trucks and substandard equipment had it right: a hand who puts this much time and money into making his truck look good is FAR MORE LIKELY to stay on top of everything else related to trucking. Like the one driver said, if I were a cop I'd pull that rig over just to check it out and tell the driver, "Sweet ride, hand!!!"
