I don’t know. Can’t find the literature or the other suggested location for mounting. Just recall the notation to clock it horizontally. Mines mounted a bit off to avoid kinking the line. Still works. Don’t know how important it is. The springs not very strong. They can be taken apart, o rings replaced, spring stretched out a bit to try and salvage a defective one. I did all that, after replacing the original, didn’t help any or make any difference. It’s not very strong, easily blow through it, opens with little effort. My Trucks losing prime somewhere on the supply side. Check valve is on return side.

i used a license plate cut the hole inch smaller silicone and self-tappers work fine
