Cenex stations in Iowa and South Dakota sell RoadMaster, which is a 50/50 blend. Usually runs 20-30 cents a gallon higher. When its really cold, adding Howes is cheap protection. Cheaper than a road call for a gelled truck.
Another silly stupid thing to prevent problems when it gets really cold is to let your truck coolant warm up to at least 150° before you pull out for the day.

And if your truck has heated tank fuel returns, you can hold a very high idle to ensure your tanks are toasty. The coolant temperature needs to be close to 180 as you ever can get it or higher.

Hampton oil company sell numbers #1 fuel. They in iola, Wichita, Pratt Kansas. You have to set up a account. To get a fuel card. But they have number #1 fuel for winter time.

I'm from Vermont. You 50/ 50. It's be cold -55 blew in winter time.b

That poses a problem for north-south runners, especially guys doing I-75, I-25, etc. Load in FL, but keep your fuel low, Add a bit in the mid south, then fill it up in OH....
-
Generally speaking, northern fuel stops will have treated fuel, blend or no-1. Best thing to do is run an additive like Power Service. If you get fuel in a southern area, then go north, you will have an issue. During the winter months, use an additive and you will be good. I run Power Service winter (white bottle). Always worked for me.

Boss man makes sure we have cases of power service on hand during the winter months. He also encourages us to get some number 1 on our way out to peddle freight.
