As title says I blew a scale on accident tonight and am wondering what to do.
Was heading northbound from Dallas to OKC when I hit Davis OK. Pushed into the right lane & right when I should’ve turned into the scale ( it was open) I saw 2 different lights and just stayed in my lane and kept moving. I’m a new ish driver and have never been to OKC in my life so for some reason this scale threw me off and I thought i was good to keep moving.
didn’t get pulled over or tailed by anyone but I definitely blew it unfortunately. Should my company expect a ticket in the mail or is that not common ?
Blew a scale tonight

you’re good, hammer down .
You got lucky
Don’t do it again, that ticket will ruin your license -
You will be fine. If you were gonna have an issue, it would have happened in the next couple miles. Wouldn’t make a habit of it though, sooner or later you will get nailed, and I’d rather run over a scale heavy and get a fine than run by it and get a ticket and a fine.

Do you mean the sign told you to enter, then switched to bypass?

No I don’t remember exactly what it said word for word but basically the big green LED screen said “open” or “enter” and basically another sign that said something like “ ALL CMV ENTER WHEN OPEN”
looking back I feel like a moron I should’ve just pulled in anyway but we all have our bonehead moments.Rideandrepair, broke down plumber, nextgentrucker and 3 others Thank this. -
Most of us have done that at one time. Don't rat yourself out to the company.mjd4277, 201, Rideandrepair and 10 others Thank this.

Luckily I work for a smaller company less than 50 drivers. Unluckily I just started last week.

Honestly dont worry about it. You got lucky. Worst case is next time you go through there, your going to be pulled in and MAY get an inspection. Think every driver has missed them at least once if they do this long enough. Mergeing car, drowsy, not paying attention, moving over for X reason and being unable to get back over. Basically dont sweat it move on and be glad you didnt get nailed.
