Hello all. I was wondering if there are any r.e. west drivers here. Also what kind of miles are you driving. I live in nashville and see the trucks often (ashland city terminal) and was just wondering. Thanks

I don't work for them anymore but have friends who do. I believe van division is avg about 2500-2800 per week. Good company to work for but you will run hard. I went through their training program in 1998 and worked a year for them. Shouldn't have left but we all make mistakes. They have a terminal in Lebanon, TN also. Good luck.

40+% driver unload. Water heaters. $300 or $350 a week to train. You only train 3 weeks. Not enough IMO. I believe they do a bunch of NE. I thought I had a job there. Recruiter led me to believe I was going to start really quick. They only have one trainer in Lebanon. So you might wait a long time to start. $.27 a mile for an entire year. You probably get lots of driver unload pay on top of that. Nice looking equipment, APU's.

Read my signature line. Believe it.

Hey Rug, So what's the deal with getting the pre hires? I have 4 right now and 3 of them I do not want to go with. So that part of your advice is already done. I was just curious. Thanks

I had false info in my back ground check. Two things! One was an unpaid ticket for 17 over the limit. I went to court and had it dropped to 14 over. The court had the conviction + an unpaid ticket! The other was Florida claimed I had a driver license, they wouldn't cancel it even though I had a TN CDL. Werner caught the ticket and at least told me, Roehl didn't. Neither did Crete. Swift caught the license thing. Werner wouldn't touch me for 6 months. I did 15 months at Swift and came off the road.

You may discover things about the companies you don't like.

Pre hires mean absolutely nothing. Need to have "insurance" when you've been unemployed.
