Good Night From II

not a good week.
other driver had to do his physical monday . so i stayed local since there was no releif driver.
dl said i had a releif driver rest of week since normal driver had rest of week off for some reason. he never called me to let me know.
so did tuesday trip then releif driver called in sick rhe next two days.
then did lost hill trip today.
so did alot of sitting since local loads were scarce.

Christmas week is not the best time for loads.

 

just watched the new geotab video.
not sure qhen thw neq system starts but not lookimg forward to it.
just got used to the zonar system

 

finding a parking spot to drop trailer was fun last nite. did 2 laps before making a spot.
then took .5 hour of walking the yard to find trailer i was taking to lost hills ca..
found it and moved it to a better location.
yard dogs are doing best thyy can to clear the mess up

 

had a meeting with driver leader and terminal leader last mknday.
other driver wrote what looked like a four page lettermaking a complaint against me.
i didnt read it but dl and tl asked about a couple issues he broughr up.
1. said he didnt like my attitude. my response was didnt have one. talked and treated to everyone the same.
2. he said i thought the world surroumded me...reponse was didn..t know why he thought that.
3. he said i was twirling hammer in his direction. response was i use hammer to thump tires during my walk around. he wasnt near me. this was for friday.
terminal leader asked what happen that day.
i do everything the same. i park next to him and walk over to give and get paperwork. then we do the switch and i do my pretrip.
go back to truck to log off so i can do my dinner break.
this time he walked up and said federal inspection was expired.
so i walked over and showed him it said 01/25. still had about 2 weeks left. he didnt beleive me.
so beimg a smartazz i walked back to truck to grab phone and showes him the calender. showing when month ended. walked back to truck and didnt see him again.
both seemed ok with my reponses and let me go sayimg i would have a new switch driver and to have no ckntact with other one.
so gave my phone to dl so he could delete and block his number. in case other driver made more compaints
then on weds. dl called me and asked if i saw him tuesday. i said no. only 2 other swift trucks and wasnt his truck.
dl says someone called saying i was in a heated discussion.
asked dl to pop up when i got there and when he was there.
shows him leaving area 15 minutes before i got there.
more proof he is lyimg.
foumd out later that they temoved him from the fleet. he is retirimg next month anyways.
driver showed his true colors and turned into a snake.

 

due to having short hours friday me and new driver met at t/a in wheeler ridge.
his truck wouldnt start. he said somethimg showing his ecm not connectimg.. after a few tries and wouldnt start i asked if could coast forward about 10 feet so i could get trailer. its around 1845 then
wouldnt do it so now i am stuck there.
he walked over to the shop there and took them about 3hours to show up.
worked on it for 30 minute to no avail.
text my dl and he never responded
i am also fightimg the flu for the secomd day.
other driver texted me ayimg they were sendimg to lathrop with the load i got.
told noone told me yet.
so ended uo goimg into sleeprer aroumd 2300 .
got up aroumd 0600 with hardly any sleep and still no response on the puter what i was doing
so made coffee and walked over to use restroom.
walked back and other driver is up.
told him got tno response and still on load i was taking back to jurupa.
he said he sent mac 22 on both loads and was waiting for someoe to repond.
so i finally got hold of dispatch window in jurupa aroumd 0800 and told him what was goimg on.
during that i get a change in tcall to lathrop.
told him that and he sees it.
i also told him i was really sick and had little sleep.
he said hold on that he would call that planner and explainned the situation.
called me back and said they were goimg to repower the load.
team showed up around noon
and i pc over to petro since more food options.
dl finally called me later that afternoon. actually i just woke up from a 3 hr nap.
seems i cough more when i lay down
explainned to him what happenned and he said i should have bontailled back.
told him he vever reponded to my text and noone told me i could.
so anyways he routed me back to jurupa.
had a cough filled nite but slept a little better than the nite before.
got up and left at 0630.
should have looked at football times. i could have sleot more

so its been one drama filled week.
was goimg to do my dot physical tomorrow but will have to wait till next monday.. got till feb 5
i also told him

 

btw.. the ended up towing other drivers truck to frightliner in bakersfeild.
told dl that swift messed up. they should have left me with load i was takimg back to jurupa and repowerimg the lathrop load.
instead of repowerimg both loads.
i wasnt goimg anywhete till sunday and the losd i was tcalling im jurupa didnt deliver till monday.

 

Wow, that's a rough couple days. I hope you get feeling better soon.

Maybe you should take a couple three days of sick pay and get some real sleep.
That IS what those sick hours are for, after all.

 

have to get my d.o.t. physical renewed tomorrow.
finally getting over this cold/flu.
just have cough that last awhile when i get sick.

 

good for another year. got physical dome and turned into dmv.
now have to get my license renewed by jume
