Yep. Quick phone call settled the discussion.
"We always just flag it and run it"
And that may work just fine, but according to each state i called, gotta have permits

It's nice to spend time with the kids while they're young, and the wife is even kind enough to act like she enjoys me being home so that's a plus.
My wife started out with one little Jersey milk cow that she milked by hand in the pasture because she thought it would be nice to have fresh milk for baking and cheese making. She gave some extra milk to some neighbors and demand quickly grew. Now she's milking 4 and doing local deliveries of milk, cheese, cream, butter, beef and eggs. The demand for fresh/local food is pretty high around here and she's really been able to thrive with her little business. I keep telling her I'm gonna retire and live off her farming empire!
Being home and helping with her farm business is exponentially more enjoyable than living in a truck and washing my feet in a bathroom sink.

She's working on the website currently. State law only allows for in-state sales but that's fine with her. She's setting up a roadside farm store in the spring and will have various other locally made products available as well. I'm happy that it's a productive hobby rather than the more common alternative.singlescrewshaker, OLDSKOOLERnWV, dwells40 and 15 others Thank this.
