Driver abandoned truck and trailer.

Theft of funds (?? I'm guessing) Did he send in/deposit the money from the vehicles or keep it?

 

That type of truck is a hot commodity in these parts of the world. It is most likely already been stripped and the parts have been shelved for resale. The county I live in has over 3 million trailers registered in it alone so that will be a needle in a haystack.

 

My situation wasn't anything like yours.

It had to do with harassment and the other person actually knew the cop.

They were supposed to tell him to not call me again, ever, under any circumstances, and the cop refused to do it, and he told me I had to contact my municipality.

When I spoke to the sergeant of my municipality, he was furious they would not exercise my complaint.

To his credit, he left my home, got on the phone with them, and then drove back to tell me that it was done and I don't ever have to think about that again.

When you call, I would ask for the commanding officer unless there really is someone that you're working with.

The commanding officer knows the laws better and he knows better what he can do, and it's more likely if the commanding officer reaches out to their commanding officer, it will get done.
