Denied from Swift?
Something is not being said... -
It really depends on the company itself. Misdemeanor charge for pot possession is really not that big of a deal. I'm sure you've done all the necessary steps to get right. I think your location is more of a hindrance than your charge is. It doesn't seem like there are quite as many options in the northeast for company sponsored training. I'd even try TMC if you don't mind flatbed. I can't remember if Melton offers CDL training, but try them as well. If you try Roehl, go in through their flatbed division first. It's just a thought, but reapply with Swift and seeing they'll hire you for their flatbed division. I think drivers with blemishes on their record will have an easier time entering the industry where demand is greater. It's a theory that I have and I'm not so sure if there is truth to it, but there is a greater need for flatbed drivers than there is dry van and refrigerated. Now if all of those options don't work, save up a whole lot of money, and call Witte Bros out of Troy, MO. They have a school, but classes start something like every quarter, you have to travel there and pretty much live there for the duration of the schooling because I think lodging and food will be on you.
