Yea $10 to sleep inside a giant bombl

I love these comments. Occasionally I haul a flamable liquid in the tank. It usually has a Nitrogen blanket. Everyone hauls 200-300 Gallons of hazmat in their fuel tanks every day. Thats more than enough to burn you up.

i didnt know milk exploded?anyway, indian river info is old too.no bonuses there anymore and insurance with dental for driver id 88.00 a week.

Statements like that come right from the press. Even with gasoline there's no "bomb" unless you rip the side of the tank out and the product spills all over the ground. Then it only catches fire. It's not as dangerous that a statement of a "bomb" makes it out to be and only knowledge can correct the ones that speak without knowing. -

Now any GOOD Tanker companies hire newbies?
-
From the research I have been doing, you might have to start with Schnieder, get 1 year or 2 under your belt then alot of doors open up. But I am no expert on the topic, and don't know if the pumpkin is a good or bad company, but they do hire newbies, at least they are in Indiana.

I know that Superior hired a guy right out of school. I don't know if they have a terminal in your area. It really depends on how bad a company needs drivers. Go and talk to the companies terminal managers in your area, that way when an opening comes up your fresh on his mind.
The top companies that come to mind are
Highway Transport
Superior Carriers
Enterprise Transport
Miller Transporters

Got a call from a DistTech recruiter after I filled out online app. Of course the local job is filled (2 loads bulk sand a day), but asked if I might be interested in chemical tanker position out of Cleveland. ANYONE know ANYTHING about these folks? Hard finding info past web site, apparently though it used to be Manfredi Transport out of Newbury, OH. Appreciate any help. Thanks
