Oh yeah, Robert was saying that he will add a bonus on there for making that run. I survived it lol. It was a piece of cake really. The customer gave some very good directions, and some of the locals at the first stop were extremely helpful in answering my questions. It had been a while since I've delivered in NYC so I needed a refresher.

Wow you had a customer willing to help with directions! Honestly that's really cool. In my world most places just say your GPS will get you to us. I had a dairy farmer here while back get all kinds of disgusted cuz I was asking for basic directions and or landmarks. His response was well you've got the address right? Most customers I talk to just act like it's easy as pie to find a needle in a haystack an that us driver's should know the area as if we've lived in it all our lives.bryan21384 and Knucklehead Thank this.

One time I got “yea you just make a right by my dad’s house, and I’m about a 1/2 mile down that road” like I know who tf his dad is. My favorite was “you’ll go by where that barn used to be…”

Hope everyone is doing well on here. Been running like crazy and got a new truck at the end of last year. Still here at garrison. Run into some sleep complications last December and come to find out I have sleep apnea. I have done two sleep studies and now should be getting a bipap machine. My sleep apnea didn’t respond good enough to the cpap. Other than that I’m out in Utah reloading tomorrow heading back to Iowa.

Man I don't know how I missed these messages here. It didn't even alert me at all. Something told me to see what was going on over here lol....maybe my psychic powers. That customer was so detailed with those directions. She was sensitive to the fact of how hard it is for truckers to navigate NYC. She knew how apprehensive most are, and acknowledged the amount of skill it takes. She knew street names and everything, it's folks in smaller towns that won't give you a street name or highway number. Those directions were dead on...then when I got there, the customer gave me the truck route to get back to 278 expressway, and right back into Jersey.
Dang man tough break on the cpap. The bipap I guess is a stronger machine? It's the first time I've heard of that one. I'm doing good over here, as I am sitting here waiting on them to finish counting Milo's here in Olney. I'm past exhausted. I've been up since 11 pm. On a side note, I went by the yard and they told me I won Driver of the Year! I checked my pulse because I was so surprised lol....500 bucks extra on my check, now that's the real reward!! I had to take a picture with Tim, I didn't trim the beard lol. Oops.Thrasher28, wulfman75, motocross25 and 2 others Thank this. -
