It's been awhile since I did the Evo thing. Yeah I remember that now about the first five days.

Rolling back out this afternoon. A 7/7 trainer from Ellenwood is picking me up near my house and I think we will be heading toward Richmond. Getting my things together and heading out for a good lunch before hitting the road.

Thanks Gypsy. A fairly short day today as I drove from Durham, NC to the north side of Richmond to relay our load, put in enough hours to count for a day of training so all is good. Sitting at the TA with an empty now awaiting our fate tomorrow morning. My new trainer seems pretty cool and since he is 7/7 he has quite a bit more room for my junk than I had in the other truck so that is nice.

Well the first ###### thing Roehl has done so far is screw with my money (what little there was for 3 days of training. After getting a rental car and driving 1100 miles to Gary to get with a trainer I turned in my fuel receipts for reimbursement but did not get credit for them. I called and was told that I not only had to have the receipts but also had to write on them the amount that each gallon cost along with the number of gallons I purchased. That friends is a crock of ####. So now I have had to call each of the three fueling places and request that they send me a letter stating the number of gallons and the price of fuel that I purchased.
This second trainer is kind of an ### as well but nothing that I can't put up with for another 5 days. He got pissed off a little at me for doing a button, button break test because a couple of trucks had managed to pull in front of us and he thought we might have to wait an extra 30 seconds or so I guess to get out of the truckstop. He also doesn't use his lock on the trailer which I was told was to be used whether empty or loaded. Just several other little things that don't really amount to much just annoying. Oh well we just got unloaded here in Maryland and will sleep out the rest of the night at the dock. DC traffic sucks even late at night, that is all:)

Haha, that's funny about the fuel reimbursement...I'll tell you why...
Your receipt should have showed the amount per gallon and the number of gallons on it, at least any receipts I've gotten have displayed that, did you make copies of the receipts before you submitted them? Now the funny part...my husband put in his 2 week notice just shy of a year after he started...he started in 2009, we got the fuel settlement in 2010, one of his last pay stubs. He had said he never got his fuel, so we just wrote it off as a loss, then sure enough there it was on a settlement. So hey, you might see yours in a year too :biggrin_2552:
Hope things get better for you as you continue on!

Do they reimburse you for fuel to training? or just when you head to Gary In.? I got the call that I need to get started placing me in their system to be scheduled for school. I think that meant I am a pre-hire now or once I make the call and talk to them. Calling tonight when I get home. They are one of my two top choices. Millis Transfer is the other. Of the research I've done they are very similar. I am hoping to hear back form them today. One thing I like is that I can go to my own doctor to get my DOT card. The upfront cost is about the same, give or take a little. We will see after today. I think I will call them and get things rolling and if Millis calls I can choose then.
I really appreciate your posts and getting an idea of what it is like with this company.
    Thanks!

I just got the phone call of a May 24th start date for orientation at Ellenwood, GA with Roehl. I am waiting to see what Schnieder has to say, and if they turn me down for some reason, I will be in Ellenwood on that Monday. Anyone else have a start date of that time in Ellenwood?

    Hey Hindsy,

They will reimburse you 0.13 per mile round trip for your fuel after you finish up training.
Today was ok. Started off going to some refinery areas in Baltimore to pick up a load of Alum to take to downtown Chicago on Monday morning but I think we will probably get to relay that load off and get something to some other locale as we will arrive in Gary by noon tomorrow, I would just as soon not have to deal with morning rush hour, downtown Chi town on a Monday morning:) Evo 2 day 1 in the books. Have a good weekend all.

A pretty easy day today. We rolled into Gary around noon and got to get rid of the Chicago, Monday morning load. Picking up a load of paper tomorrow just west of here and heading to Kentucky with it. I suspect we will get something heading toward Atlanta after that as my trainer is due back there by Tuesday. Tip for the day: If you are in Gary and go to eat at the Greek place near the terminal don't order the lasagna:)
