4 dispatchers in 7 months. Guess Marcos shoes are to big to fill. Haha. Officially more dispatchers than trainees.

 

Opie retiring didn't help there either.

 

Yeah losing both Opie and Marco left a giant hole in dispatch. Didn’t help they transferred jimwa shortly after that. Pat and Kelly are now the most experienced in OTR. The real pain is last week i probably had my best week since Marco left. Guess my dispatcher was a victim of his own success.

 

Pat was pretty good about keeping me moving when I was there. Maybe you'll eventually end up with him. Of course that ain't gonna help if y'all ain't got no freight.

 

Millis gave trainers an 8 cent per mile raise, blue beacon washes and pilot flying j shower power every month, today. So it’s going to be 20 cents per training mile.

Since I've been retired I've been watching Max Velocity in YouTube for weather. He's really good and after seeing enough drivers comment about watching him I figured I'd pass along the recommendation. Stay safe out there!

 

Finishing up a trainee this week or early next week. Just waiting on a truck at this point. Trainee is the main reason I havent been posting as much last several months. Picked her up August 22!! Never ever could have imagined any training taking the twists and turns this one has. Definitely one for the ages. Going to leave a lot out. But my friend @Nashville knows the entire story.
She was the most under prepared trainees I have ever had or ever will.

Next trainee is a former stripper from my area. Lol. Already did 3 weeks of training with her, because her and her original trainer had some disagreements and she broke her foot. I took her while my august trainee was recovering from breaking her arm. Stripper trainee then refused to go out with another trainer until I finished up august trainee when she came back from recovering from the arm surgery.
