Going from cali to Denver should I avoid I70 nd go 40 east to the 25 I have over 5 years driving but driving I 70 in the winter scares the crap out of me
California to Denver, I-70 or I-40?

I always take 40 to 25 because I would die if I took I-70 and got stuck in the high elevations.
Flat Earth Trucker and lual Thank this. -
Yeah I know I checked the weather , there’s been road closures due to snow , it’s supposed continue snowing all week , I still have to take i70 west coming back after my Denver delivery , so um screwed either waysConcorde Thanks this.

That adds like extra 200 miles.
If it was me I'd base my decision off the weather. -
The Megas generally avoid I-70 West of Denver just for MPG reasons. If there is current or forecast bad weather I would use I-40.
