You can do quarterly or file for extensions and pay a small fee. You don’t need to do IFTA if you’re under 26k gross registered weight, so you can go with free eld

 

What are you trying to haul? You only need a dot number if you are hauling your own product as a business.. you need a dot and Mc number if hauling for hire. Meaning you are being contracted out to haul someone else's product. As well as a boc3

 

You will need Mc number and have a boc3 on file then. Before your mc number is activated they will require proof of insurance as well

 

Welcome to the business yes there is plenty of scammers. It's best to learn how to file this stuff yourself to avoid that. It does cost money to file this stuff I don't remember how much it was. Couple hundred bucks maybe
