Worst case scenario, you get put oos under a load and then the truck gets towed to a repair shop. Your psp gets dinged, your carrier gets dinged and the truck tow and repair bill still needs to get paid.
Trucks are expensive to repair..that’s just how it is.
Think smart not hard.
I’m guessing you’re working for a clown company..
Like I said, I’d complete any load that I was under and the truck would go to a shop or the terminal, carrier’s choice.
Any pushback and I’d be gone sipping on a cold one poolside![]()
No headlights or front signals, legal daytime?

Stopping at a weigh station could backfire. As in an inspection that dings your PSP. Tattling can come with a price.
You’re the driver you have the final say whether the truck moves or not. If you’re not comfortable shut it down. There are other jobs should that cost one….that isn’t sounding real good anywayhope not dumb twucker, Sons Hero, firemedic2816 and 5 others Thank this. -
Text says: lights need repair at terminal where Driver is headed.
Since they work now I'm not as concerned. But it does rattle around back of my mind.Last edited: Feb 18, 2025

Nope.. its nonsense from people who are just trying to get work out of you

Yes, that is sarcasm
No illusion this place is just an entry point to CDL lifehope not dumb twucker Thanks this. -
Lighting carries 6 points, which is fairly severe. They also keep tacking on 6 points for every light out. And then when zero headlights are working, and you get put OOS, you’ll have an extra couple points slapped on there.
2x headlights, 2x turn signals = 24 points x 3, = 72 points for the first year.
Probably going to lead to a pretty tedious inspection too, so probably gonna find a brake out of adjustment or a chafed airline, and bam, 100+ points on your PSP in the matter of minutes.
Short answer, you’re completely correct for being concerned lolhope not dumb twucker and mjd4277 Thank this. -
the violation occurred and you get written for it .hope not dumb twucker Thanks this. -

it ain’t like the old days where the switch on the dash controlled the electricity to the lights
the genius designers and engineers decided to have the switch on the dash tell the computer to give the electricity to the lights .
and the computer modules fail, and the ALWAYS fail, and the manufacturer decides to program
The module to that one truck and that one VIN number so YOU can grab a module
And swap it
you have to get a new module at the stealership and have the stealership program
The
Module to
Work with your truck
it’s the manufacturers way of ensuring the stealership gets business
except the modules are
Not available because they are made from
Chinesium and are total garbage
why they don’t get the Japanese to make the computer stuff so it’s reliable , I don’t know .
And it’s not just big trucks
every car is that way now
you get the tail lights wet and the vehicle won’t crank
it couldn’t be any
More stupid if you triedhope not dumb twucker Thanks this. -
