They have individual listings Messer is hiring CDL A Drivers But they only have 3. They have a bunch on Indeed, but mainly East of the Mississippi river.
I have personal Bias against Messer. I applied and was hired by them several years ago while I was living in Phoenix. I applied at the vancouver washington Barn and was being onboarded via email and phonecalls before I packed up and moved. There were some big mistakes made either by them or the recruiter and I almost got royally screwed and I ended up turning down the job saved myself from possibly being ruined financially after moving all the way up there and suddenly not having a job. I've always been bitter how they handled that on their end. Basically lying and blaming me, despite me having emails of what they said. Then I was hired on with Linde, Linde and Messer HATE each other and their drivers always treated us like crap, so screw them. They seem to run nice equipment and the drivers I saw seemed happy, just not towards us. I would call them and see what happens. It cant hurt to just get your foot in the door and get a few years experience. That will open up alot of doors in cryo for you, imo

And Sign on bonuses have become "Retention Bonuses" to at least make you stay a year and most take that long to pay out. Linde had them for a long time and dropped them a few months before I started. But there are a few barns that stilll have them. I wouldnt think twice if a place is offering one.

Yeah, pretty much all companies these days treat sign on bonuses as glorified retention bonuses. For the time being, I’m wanting to give Linde time. I don’t know if they still are (most likely since they offer a pension), but Praxair was union before the merger and they were known for treating their drivers VERY well. If that falls through I’ll submit my info to Messer and see what happens, maybe I can be the first Messer driver to break the mold and mend the rift between Messer and Linde. Experience is experience though. Even GenOx (although not good experience) is still experience. Also, I saw a US Cryo earlier today. Aren’t they owned by one of the big companies, or are they still common?

I do understand moving for a job that doesn’t pan out though. Same thing happened to me with RTI. That’s why I moved from West Virginia to Texas. They were talking about needing drivers on their TSC Waco account badly, so I offered to move to Texas for a dedicated position. Long story short, I do everything and move halfway across the country only for them to decide they liked me better OTR and wouldn’t let me even touch TSC anymore because it was too close to my apartment. I left the next month.

Well I just put in a application with LGT. I honestly feel like if at SPT winter didn't screw with me. Also apu keep "overheating". I might of been able to handle cryo. I was able to unload fine before that stuff.

I haven’t heard back from Linde as of yet, but Airgas is looking for cylinder haulers (class A) in LaPorte, so I applied for that as well. That one requires the ability to get approved for DISA credentials, so I presume they deliver to Joint Base Ellington.

Linde can take weeks to even get back to you. Sometimes they are quicker, sometimes not. I applied last spring and was hired in September. Granted there was some drama on Lindes end, but there was also zero communication from them as well. I had a good job at the time, so it wasnt a big deal. It was just irritating. If you have other opportunities presenting themselves, jump on them. Dont wait for Linde to get around to saying yay or nay.

Great...probably going to snow like hell, now that you're coming back!

Joking aside, glad you went out for some R&R! Looks beautiful!

Yeah, I am beginning to think as much which is why I went ahead and put in with Airgas. Granted, that was for cylinders, but once I have my foot in, it’ll be easier to get onto the cryo side when they have an opening.
