40 lol. Pup. If your in steinbach, you might be thinking of big freight. Don’t. They have changed drastically from a few years ago. I’m in Winnipeg. Steve’s livestock is hiring like mad trying to keep up with maple leaf. Bear in mind you will pay around 10 grand for your licence, and work for crap wages with no home time until you put your time in.

Man, I'm 27 years old. You got almost double the length of my age driving trucks, that's crazy.

All ya have to do is pay attention,,,take your time, you are not in a race…you can do it

The extent of my training was a 10 minute demo with another driver on how to shift…this was after id pulled two loads of steel pipe to Pickle Lake On…When in doubt ask someone…i also had to ask about the plumbing on B trains a few years later as it was my first time and they were already hooked up and loaded with over dimensional steel frames. An old coot at the yard was more than happy to come outside fill me in.

Wise advice driver. I hope you enjoy a well deserved retirement. I have mostly everything down pretty good, just some mechanical things I'm picking up on here and there.

Looking to get outta the city and enjoy some remote trucking.

My dad became one at around 45 years old, he's nearly 65 now. It lifted my whole family out of poverty and we were able to buy a place in Toronto before the prices sky rocketed. I trained at Challenger with a lady in her 50s and she was a very good driver.

You're never too old to get into trucking.
