That's a shame, was one of the truck stops I always enjoyed staying at when I was out that way, but given the decline along the I-5 corridor I'm not surprised and am sure its not the only one.

I don’t know if it’s the best, but Pine Cone Travel Plaza in Johnson Creek, WI is high up on my list. Bakery, decent showers, and a strip mall next door with a Menard’s in walking distance. A wallet’s nightmare (not really, food is pretty affordable) and a 34 reset’s dream.

Gee-Cee's is about the only place up that-away I could really say is a decent "trucker's truck stop" that I'm actually happy to show up at. Most of WA sucks. Lots of disgusting Punjab joints and/or crowded nightmares like Petro Spokane or T/A North Bend. Ernie's in Moses Lake is tolerable. Loves in Ritzville it's like they tried on purpose to make the parking lot a cluster-eff.

in Oregon 7 feathers I've never stopped at but it's always looks pretty good for a busy place. Jubitz is a no thanks. Troutdale is a no thanks. Biggs Junction is neat but not enough parking. Bob's Texas T-bone and Lounge the next exit down in Rufus is a nice quiet place.

Iowa 80 in Walcott, IA. You can see it at night from miles away. Over 900 parking spaces, restaurants, and a large showroom with many things.

Iowa 80 is VERY LARGE but truly a tourist trap. The glory is lost in the amount of junk that is displayed for the 4 wheelers to spend their money on. The only great thing here is the truck museum.

They have a lot of trucking related stuff in the showroom. It’s still worth a stop for truckers who’ve never been there.

Found a cool little spot outside of okc last week.

Cheyenne and araphoe travel center .
    exit 108 on i40 in oklahoma .
It is on truckerspath but it has the wrong location . getting off exit 108 go south about 1/4 a mile and its on the left... fantastic food thats reasonably priced and free parking about 25 spots. I was the only truck parked there over night. Spots are wide enough for oversize as well. Could probably fit a 15' wide in there. Food was so good I came back for lunch the next day Screenshot_20250402_143236_Maps.jpg

Took 3 pages for “The World’s Largest Truck Stop”(Iowa 80) to be listed. Unbelievable.
