Not a chance. You must be using one of those special broker calculatiors. Everything has gone up and rates have not increased to match business nor personal expenses. Gold certainly has increased in value though.JimmyTwoTimes Thanks this.

I might have a bad read (I'd love to hear from some of the other folks on the carrier side), but I was under the impression a well run operation did really well in 18/20/21, and that between those three years you should have been able to add a healthy chunk to savings each year. I'm not implying the market is good now or that it has been good since March of 22.
I unfortunately don't have access to any special calculatiors though. -
18/19 were fair. 20 was tough for me. 21 wasn’t bad. 22/23 were great. 24 after all was said and done really wasn’t bad. I grossed about 30k less but profit was the same as 23. And profit is really what matters. And so far I’m at about 8k profit on 65 gross for the year. I prefer to stay at 20% margin which would be 13k. But I’ll take 13%. January was rough. Lots going on with elderly parents. So that put a damper on thingsPPLC, Speedy356, Iamoverit and 1 other person Thank this.

Thanks for sharing, that's good insight. And agreed, profit is what matters in the end.
Refresh my memory, are you an O/O?PPLC, Iamoverit and ElmerFudpucker Thank this. -

Gotcha. Reading everything you posted, it looks like its safe to say your profit since 2018 was higher than $70K?ElmerFudpucker Thanks this.

I guess everyone's experience is different, but I made $11,000 in one week during covid.
$5,000 was a very very easy week during covid. Didn't have to work very hard to make that at all.
$7,000 to $8,000 was a snap of the fingers.
All local work.
I don't ever ever foresee another time that I will make $11,000 in one week doing local work.
Right now if you run around the clock and bang your head up against the wall and didn't sleep, maybe you could make a couple thousand on local work.hope not dumb twucker and JimmyTwoTimes Thank this. -
I had a guy email me today needing a power only to shuttle 4 loads a day. 20 miles each way. 800 per day for the next 6 weeks. I thought that was awful cheap.FullMetalJacket, hope not dumb twucker and JimmyTwoTimes Thank this.
