Looking for OTR Opendeck W2 company jobs that I could earn 100k a yr at. For reference I’ve got 5yrs experience 11/2 living full time out of my truck with my wife and cat doing Opendeck for a company out of IA. I was averaging 2k after taxes every week and had fun there. Unfortunately the company turned in a bad direction and a lot of drivers left including me. I’m the only driver but my wife does securement, keeps a really clean truck, responds to broker texts for me, keeps me eating healthy, and does trucking content.
Because my wife and I live out of our truck full time with no time off we do need a raised roof and that’s what we’ve been in so looking at a company that would be willing to provide that. They get an extra 12 weeks of work from us a yr and never have to worry about getting us back to a home base for time off. Please name names of companies where this is possible, I think the companies that have about 50-200 trucks are the ones that typically pay the most. Thank you!

I’d be trying southern transport or United
Moving to get my way into a large house -

I’m sorry that’s not what I meant we do it together, we’re able to knock out opendeck load securement in half the time as anyone else since there’s 2 of us lol. She’d drive too but she’s got bad health issues so she can’t even have a regular drivers license let alone a CDL. She’s an amazing woman though and works her ### off along side me in every way she can.201773, exhausted379, D.Tibbitt and 2 others Thank this.

If you like a smaller company , maybe check out rgm transport in bethel PA
Kaiser trucking in wisconsin
They both seem like decent companies to keep u busy
Rgm was going to hire me at .65 a mile but I went to a local company instead
One of our drivers came from kaiser he said they paid decent but never got home at all.01HFT Thanks this. -
Mercer has several owner ops looking for drivers.

This is one of the few times I'll ask why aren't you an owner/operator? Seems like that would be the best option for someone in your position.
I couldn't imagine living full time in a semi truck that there could be the smallest chance of being terminated and not having anywhere to stay, even if it was temporary.
Also, if you're willing to kick ### and run like that, I think you could do even better as an O/O vs a company driver. Not to mention the fact that you could have a truck with a larger sleeper that would be much more comfortable being full time. -
We have thought about this and we do have the cash to pull off going O/O but the market sucks so bad we keep being advised against it. To learn the ropes of O/O we’d probably want to start out leased onto another companies authority as a O/O and have heard a ton of horror stories. It’s hard to know what company to go with if we’re doing O/O. We definitely want to stay in the Opendeck side of things, it pays really well & helps keep us fit.
