I'm thinking about making the pilgrimage this year. It's been a bucket list item for me forever. Anybody here have any advice on hotels, food, what to make sure I see, anything to avoid etc?
I'd probably fly in Wednesday and fly back out Sunday. I've had thoughts about doing some truck shopping while I am back east, but I don't see how you guys are doing it at today's rates.

Google Map the exhibition site so you can view the hotels that are within walking distance. Make sure to pre-register for all 3 days .

There’s some fine rides to look at, the one thing that kills my interest in a truck of this caliber, is walking up and seeing paint on the belts on the engine, just turns me off royally! Can’t believe anyone would sink that much $$ in a nice paint job then do a slouchy job on the engine, that’s just me though, maybe I’m being to harsh….?

I'd start calling hotels now to see if any are available for those dates. From what I've heard, all of the close hotels get booked up a year in advance for the show. I suppose if your flying in and renting a car it wouldn't be much of a problem finding a hotel a little further out...
