Many folks say they will buy it but can’t or not ending up buying for some reason. A long time ago I sold cars. The guy wanting to buy, couldn’t afford it. And the guy that has everything squared away and can afford to pay retail… why would he especially if it is already used. Not to mention equipment that needs thousands of dollars of repairs needed. The smart buyer knows that the repairs have not been made probably due to cost…that and at anytime would need an inframe.

When I was selling my old w900 for cheap I had quite a few wanting owner finance. That wasn’t an issue selling my last truck and a 4 year old hopper at peak Covid pricing.Feedman, IH9300SBA, Rideandrepair and 1 other person Thank this.

Sorry, that truck is a pitfall...
Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
So how much can it sell for

45k sounds reasonable but I would not be suprised if you could not find a buyer for 30k at this time. So maybe wait...Rideandrepair, Opendeckin and DAX_ Thank this.

Because they broke and you didn't fix them. Who wants to buy a road tractor for top dollar like you want with a list of crap to fix that you should've fixed......or maintained.Rideandrepair and Diesel Dave Thank this.

The CASCADIA life.
Rideandrepair and DAX_ Thank this. -
Top dollar is 60k for that year and model.

I would not pay more than $15 to $20,000 for the truck.
19,000 hours...2,000 hours is about 60,000 miles equivalent, so based on that about the equivalent of 570,000 miles on the engine.
Then the work that is known that needs to be done..(based on what you have indicated in the original post.
Then the broken fridge door.. not bothering to fix something as basic as that suggests to me it's neglected to a certain degree.
At auction I'd go $15,000, private sale i would have it inspected by my mechanic and go from there, but really any offer will be reduced by what the inspection cost, and I'd bet more repair items would be found.
If someone offered 30+ I'd take the cash and run.86scotty, Rideandrepair, blairandgretchen and 5 others Thank this.
