Fellow truckers please take a look at this video and please advise on this oil leak. I recently purchased this truck and will take it to the shop when I return home next week .

I wouldn’t waste money trying to dry that up. I’ve driven trucks that blew 5 times that much out the blow by pipe every 3 minutes lol

That is barely a ‘seepage’. Not worth the hassle of trying to repair something that is not broke.

It's a grommet. They were like $18 at FL 4 years ago. If you change them you need to disconnect the fuel line. The fuel line pushes through the rubber gasket. If i member right. Your supposed to change the metal fuel line i didn't. You need a torque wrench to do it correctly. You can strip where the bolts go into. I believe where the bolts go into the "riser" is aluminum. So torque specs are around? ft-lbs. The range for the engine was normally 8 ft pounds to 22. If it went into aluminum.

I bought the "crow foot" thing from snap on when i did it. Amazon should have it too.

    Under $11 for the grommet.

I replaced those a couple months ago. I did all 6, only 2 were weeping. Those bolts only torque around 7.5 ftlbs.
I was advised not to over tighten because they will strip out easy.

I don't like oil leaks, so I fixed. The mechanic said it was just nuisance weep. Not critical to fix, BUT the weep will get worse over time.

You can reuse the individual injector fuel lines. It is the 2 High pressure fuel rail lines you don't reuse.
Also, you need a special socket to remove.

    Good luck.
