We were not team driving. We were on a tight schedule and I told him the night before I’m waking up at 3 starting a pre trip at 330 and rolling by 345. I went out to do my pre trip and he was still in the sleeper. Never heard him get out. I jumped back in put myself on the drive line and took off and didn’t bother to look back. Got to Delhi Louisiana, turned around and he wasn’t there.
Like i said he was always getting lost in the bathroom and always sniffling.

I’d say overall the training program is not bad it’s just the luck of the draw on who you get as a trainer. I obviously got a dud.

I’m thinking this is what happens when you’re sleep deprived. I told the trading coordinator the guy is messing with my sleep. He is on medication for ADHD and he’s slamming 20 ounce Red Bulls all day so I dunno when he slept because I could here him all night long crinkling soda cans or his infamous sucking snots up his nose.
It’s a shame I think overall the training program is great and the company seemed pretty good too but why they let that kid train is beyond me. He has some mental issues that ADHD medication he is already on is not addressing.nextgentrucker, Speedy356 and Winnyf1 Thank this. -
If you’re truly a good driver, you won’t have any problems getting on with a good Co.
If they’re catering to the likes of this guy and his problems, they actually did you a favor not keeping you on!nextgentrucker, JohnBoy and JForce28 Thank this. -
The kid is not right in head and they have him training. I was out there running on no sleep because it seemed as soon as I would fall asleep he would crinkle a soda or suck snots up his nose and now I’m awake and pretty much just up the rest of the night, maybe catching a half hour here and there.
I called the company Monday hoping to get the issues ironed out. I didn’t get to far and I just agreed to finish out the two weeks and unfortunately, what happened, happened. ♂️ -
That’s one reason whenever I had someone in the truck with me (s-o or student) the rule was if your in the sleeper, your shoes are on the passenger side floorboard.
That way neither of us got left behind. Try catching on at Swift, yeah they get a bad rap and all most of the time, but they are a good training company. Here’s to some good luck!!nextgentrucker and JForce28 Thank this.
