Ill look into that. Inwas also reading vinegar helps with the smell. Leaving a bowl of it over night or something. Also baking soda haha. Ill triumph!

Coffee, used to use it in reefer trailers year's ago to get rid of bad smells. You're driving a nice ride, I like that trailer too. You'll get used to the hood and wheel base in no time. I've been in a 2017 389 since it was new .

20180917_125919.jpg if you zoom in really close to the mirror bracket you'll see a small 5" convex mirror pointing straight down. That shows the ground directly beside the truck from the step to the front bumper. It's easy to mount and discreet. Unlike those god awful looking hood mirrors or fender mirrors. If you adjust the downward mirror directly above the passenger window it helps a lot too. Good luck with it and just remember there's a couple million of those trucks doing the same job as you every day so it's very possible. Although I don't go into major cookie cutter truck stops if at all possible lol. Way too much aggravation for me.

Haha thank you. Yes, this time around I am going to become a master at finding creative locations. On my second day. I love the big tanks. 100/150. I just put in 182 gallons and it was at about a quarter of the tank. Good to know, although I don’t like chancing it, it is nice to get to know your truck.

so far no backing in a truckstop. Will continue to avoid it for a while until I get better. I always laugh at myself when I think its going to make the turn and it doesnt haha.

Me too, I drove one before but it was local oil field work, easy stuff. Most of my career has been freightliner, volvo (favorite) and international. Im loving it though. Drives awesome.

That’s also another horrible part about it. Getting the weird looks for stinking, and you don’t even smoke. It happened with my trainer when I started OTR. I hated it so much. But thanks to reading these forums, I just knew it was something I had to suck up, right of passage if you will lol.

I noticed something last night. I’m not sure what those uneven bumps while entering and exiting a bridge are called. But I almost don’t notice them. Meanwhile on the cascadia, specially if you don’t have michellins. You know they’re there! Wake up! Haha.

then the lane departure warning goes “brrrrrrr” and the automated braking wants to kick in. None of that here.

These 565 horses with 2050 torque just keeps eating at that road. Catching up to the cascadias at the slight uphills :D.

I wish I was governed at 77-78 just to not play tag with them. I find myself running 72-73 and letting them all go by, something Ive always heard veterans here say, which I couldn’t believe.

I parked at a toll plaza this morning. I had to wait for a spot, came within an inch of scraping my trailer with the truck to my left. So glad I didn’t hit anything.

    #rights of passage. Lol
