If there were 2 lanes between you and the driveway, and a wide enough space to get past the other Truck, you had plenty of room. He also had plenty of room. You could have both probably turned at the same time. You had the right of way, you backed up on a public street. I suggest you get familiar with how the trailer axles track when turning. Avoid an anxiety ridden panic response to a very common situation. Learn what the Truck/Trailer can do. You’re in control, it won’t do anything on its own. The fact you’re surprised a vehicle close behind you can’t be seen is worrisome, especially since it was an afterthought. Next time you might not be so lucky.
