Nope. I would still blame only the ones that caused the accident. If my wife was out and slid across a median into oncoming traffic lanes and hit someone and caused her death that is on her. Not the person or thing she hit. I’m kinda psychopathic that way. You screw up its on you and no rewards for that. Werner going 65 in his lane on his side of road would be of no relevance for me. The wife screwed up period. She left hers. Kapeesh.
FMCSA hypocrisy

Just because the posted speed limit is 55,65,75 so on and so forth doesn’t mean that the weather and/or road conditions are ideal to do so!
This is basic stuff that is or was taught in drivers ed classes when you apply and are issued a license to begin with.
Obviously the young lady involved skipped a few classes and basically she’s being rewarded for her piss-poor driving skills that ended up getting a couple of children killed.
This is a case for reform because it’s rewarding bad driving behavior.bryan21384 and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this. -
If you've ever lived in Tejas you’d know what this means. Example Mile marker 66 dry, no rain, wind, etc. mile marker 67. Freezing rain, possible ice, high winds. Mile marker 68. 70 degrees and sunny. I can be on one side of my 6 acre shop property with clear skys and the other side can have thunder storms. Therefore walking across to the other side would be entering the weather. Last month when we had a day of snow it only snowed in one corner.Flat Earth Trucker and drvrtech77 Thank this.

Jury verdict against Werner for Texas fatal crash is the biggest in company history
Why would you need to file a lawsuit in a county 500 miles away from where the accident happened? I think anybody with brains would be able to figure that one out considering the two jurisdictionsFlat Earth Trucker Thanks this. -
Thats easy because thats the home of the hammer and he has peeps in his pockets. Lol.Flat Earth Trucker Thanks this.

I don’t know if any of you Texas natives remember CX Chemical Express out of San Anyonio. Big outfit back in the day. They shutdown in early 90’s due to never recovering from a nuclear back in early 80’s from an accident up in West Texas area during the summer of 1978. A station wagon with a migrant family rolled a stop sign on nice clear day and pulled out in front of one of their W900’s and all were killed. Case was held in H town where the company and driver were found by jury to be 100% at fault. Drivers family could not even go after the family of the ones who caused it because they were not citizens and Lulac and other saviors had stepped in to block those efforts anyway.i can only guess that what money the lawyers didn’t take went back to family in ‘Ol Mex.

I ran the entire state of Texas for a a few years on a multi stop route. I know all about the weather especially the night time tornadoes on my way north to Dodge City

Fact is the driver says he was going 45 mph..basically admitting road conditions weren’t ideal.
When I’m driving on snow or in dense fog 45 is about where I’ll be. Nowadays I just shut down at first chance I get, just too many idiots on the road.bryan21384 and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this. -
This time of year is bad for trains of storms to blow thru. Will be a nice clear warm spring day and then a line of storms come in from the south west out of Mexico and tear stuff up for 5-10 minutes with hail and tornado/hurricane winds. Then clear skies again. You can follow them from one side of the state to another and they may never be more than a mile wide.Flat Earth Trucker and Concorde Thank this.

Seems like you’re having trouble with this one..here’s a clue.
Plaintiffs attorney is close to Harris county..
I’m guessing you don’t understand what jury selection is all about either.Flat Earth Trucker Thanks this. -
That’s a noble way to be and I like to think I’m the same way about taking responsibility. But then again I’m not trying to provide a lifetime worth of medical care for a brain damaged loved one.
Fact is I’m impartial to the case and understand where both sides are coming from. I’m not the person you’d want as a juror because I’d never be able to decide, haha.bryan21384 and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this.
