ELD LIVE TRACKING/HIGHWAY??? Brokers locked me out.

Done! Did it today.

 

At this point they're going unchecked. Hopefully the FTC will get a lot of complaints and Highway will know we're fighting back! Who the hell do they and the brokers think they are??

@Meonthenet - keep up the fight. Persistence sometimes pays off. The right person might take an interest and follow through.

 

So looks like Highway is gonna be like a Big Brother, knowing where all the trucks are at any given time.
What are they gonna do with all that data? Sell info to the highest bidder? Open their own brokerage? Create their own loadboard?

 

And they accomplished that with the help of fools desperate to run 1.70 freight.

 

Their example on a carrier’s assets and tracking of trucks in the Chattanooga area contradicts what they said about not tracking a carrier’s power units after a load has been delivered. They seem to track everything and all the time. Seriously big brother/dystopian stuff.

 

We're losing another one guys; ATS/Sureway. A long time standup company, is getting in bed with liars at Highway! An ATS rep emailed me saying ATS is switching over to Highway. He said I need to integrate my ELD with Highway asap, and ATS was putting me on a do not use list until I do. I explained several bald face lies Highway is telling, depending on what day of the week it is. I said how ATS has always been a standup company now getting in bed with liars. I told him how I was the product Highway is selling, and my years of service to ATS... I asked where's the loyalty to ATS's loyal carriers? I asked him if he would give his driver's license, registrations, titles, loan paperwork, personal ELD login ID and password, to liars that "store your data overseas," shares data with "overseas call centers," "gives your data to a broker," a broker they do not vet as long as the alleged broker has the monthly fee! He said he agrees with my concerns, But he'll check and see if I could get a ELD waiver. He then sent me a Highway link, instructing me to onboard with Highway, and file an ELD waiver. So there's my "ATS's loyalty" answer. I said I'm sorry for the loss. ATS went to the dark side.

Another thing! This is a huge issue, to me at least, and The Trucker's Report forum has it buried and hard to find???

 

You are right. This is a huge issue. Unfortunately those that live off the spot market load boards didn't make things easier by complying with Highways ridiculous demands. And that's where this is that. With no real push back Highway has won. I have no idea if it's even working. Has fraud been reduced? One can simply swap/drop trailers, or offload on a dock and the freight is gone. The sheep really flocked on this one, and for these rates no less.
